Romford Golf Club is a Private members club, formed in 1894 and in 2019 celebrated it's 125th year anniversary.

The legendary James Braid was head professional from 1896 to 1904 and was at Romford when he won the first of his 5 Open Championships in 1901.

Brian Huggett, former GBI & Ireland Ryder cup player, was Head Professional from 1960 to 1966.

In more recent times, the Club  has been used as a Qualifying venue for ‘The Open’,  the English County Club Championship Final and hosted the prestigious Senior PGA Professional Championship trophy in 2022 & 2023. 

Located just a couple of miles from junction 29 off the M25 and only 18 miles from the centre of London,the club can be easily accessed from anywhere in the South East of England.


Romford is a welcoming and friendly club, with a  Championship standard level course and exellent facilities, making it one of Essex's premier golf clubs.
